Closing membership sales but the positioning feels off

I'm running a membership for ops managers in Canada and the audience is there but conversion is not. I've tested three different titles and a quiz funnel — quiz got the clicks, membership did not. Starting to think the problem is me saying the wrong thing before the offer. What has worked when you've reworked your positioning?

What a useful answer should help achieve

A clear way to reframe the membership offer so the right people recognise it covers their immediate problem.

Already tried

Tested three membership titles and a quiz funnel; clicks came but sales did not.

Constraints and unknowns

Limited list, no ad budget, and I'm still doing client work to pay the bills.

You've already done the hardest part — you know the quiz pulls clicks, so the audience isn't the problem. But I'd stop testing titles. In my experience, membership positioning only works when it's a promise about what changes in someone's week, not what they get access to. What's the first thing your existing members stop worrying about after they join? That's your positioning, and it's probably already sitting in your DMs.

Is the quiz intended as the entry point, or is it paid traffic? And do members and clients share the same problem set?

You're right that the title matters less than people think. I tested five names for my design retainer and the winner was the one that said what I'd actually deliver, not the clever one. But my real problem was follow-up — people would click, then hear nothing structured from me for weeks. Might be worth looking at what happens in the first ten days after someone shows interest.

I stopped calling it a membership. Called it a monthly ops clinic with one live session, one checklist. Sold seven in two weeks from a list of ninety.

Honestly the quiz funnel might be too broad. I ran one for my coaching and got loads of leads who never bought because the quiz asked them about problems they weren't ready to pay to solve. You're in Canada so your market's probably more scattered than mine, but I'd drop the quiz and put a specific problem with a price and a start date in front of the list you already have. If they don't buy that, the issue is the promise, not the wrapper.
