First month of programming: what actually goes in?

Purpose
A concrete decision about the first programming block that won’t add live delivery but will move non-finishers through the course.

I have a self-paced course in Port Harcourt and delivery already eats my week. I want to launch a second offer without stacking more live calls. So I’m testing a membership layer. Decided: one program block per week, four weeks, starting next month. What would you put in the first block for people who mostly haven’t finished the course? Tried a WhatsApp challenge before and it died by day 9.

Before you pick the first block: are these people stuck or just not prioritizing the course? In my productized service I made them the same thing and the programming became the product. So separate access from live teaching. One live Q&A per week, max. People buy a calendar, not another content library. Have them bring the module they're stuck on, record it, send it. If you build four weeks of new material, you're re-teaching the course and delivery eats another month. The fix is fewer sessions and a higher price.

I ran a challenge and it died by day 8, so maybe not that. A one-hour co-working session always converts better than a content drop. Do that first, same time every week. Don’t overbuild.

Run one five-minute fix per week. Record it. Put it in the group.

Don’t make the first block live if delivery already eats your week. Record a 10-minute stuck-module answer from your two most common questions, post it Monday, leave comments open. Live Q&A becomes your bottleneck by week 3. Add co-working only if people need accountability.

You’ve already learned the challenge dies, which most people ignore. Whatever format you choose, attach it to a specific module completion. One ask per week: 'Send me your week 3 plan by Friday.' Programming that doesn't pull people through the course just adds noise.
